How RELAXED is my body? May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Greetings! May is mental health awareness month, and meditation can be an excellent tool to support our mental health. It's easy to practice anywhere, anytime; it's free, and you can get pretty good benefit from even short but regular practices. The "fingers" on the "hand of mental health" I refer to in our practice today are Sleep & Rest, Food and Eating Habits, Relationships & Emotions, Exercise & Mindfulness of the Body, and Creativity and Pleasure. Each finger has opportunity for the clarity, equanimity, and compassion that meditation can bring to any aspect of our lives. Today we explore the mindfulness of the body and explore what a relaxed body feels like. Special attention is paid to the belly, heart and face today; these are three places in the body we often store tension and un-ease.
