Hr: Zrak je bio hladan u Maksimiru.
En: The air was cold in Maksimir.

Hr: Snijeg je pokrivao staze poput tankog bijelog pokrivača.
En: Snow covered the paths like a thin white blanket.

Hr: Marin i Ivana su polako hodali pokraj jezera.
En: Marin and Ivana were slowly walking by the lake.

Hr: Pogledavali su jedno drugo, ali riječi kao da su zastale među njima.
En: They glanced at each other, but the words seemed to stall between them.

Hr: "Valentinovo je," rekao je Marin tiho.
En: "It's Valentine's Day," Marin said quietly.

Hr: "Savršeno vrijeme za razgovor."
En: "A perfect time to talk."

Hr: Ivana ga je pogledala.
En: Ivana looked at him.

Hr: "Znam da želiš razgovarati o nama. Prošli tjedan smo se svađali, ali sada smo ovdje."
En: "I know you want to talk about us. We argued last week, but now we're here."

Hr: Marin je stao ispod drveta.
En: Marin stopped under a tree.

Hr: Grane su bile gole, kao da slušaju svaku šapat.
En: The branches were bare, as if they were listening to every whisper.

Hr: "Ivana, volim te. Ali sanjam o životu uz more. Želim pisati, imati mir."
En: "Ivana, I love you. But I dream of a life by the sea. I want to write, to have peace."

Hr: Ivana je uzdahnula.
En: Ivana sighed.

Hr: "Znam, Marin. Ali moja karijera je ovdje, u Zagrebu. Arhitektura je moj život. Teško je samo otići."
En: "I know, Marin. But my career is here, in Zagreb. Architecture is my life. It's hard to just leave."

Hr: Marin je posegnuo za njenom rukom.
En: Marin reached for her hand.

Hr: Njegov dodir bio je hladan, ali srce toplo.
En: His touch was cold, but his heart was warm.

Hr: "Mogli bismo zajedno izgraditi nešto lijepo na obali. Možda ne kuće, ali život vrijedan priče."
En: "We could build something beautiful together on the coast. Maybe not houses, but a life worth telling."

Hr: Ivana je razmišljala.
En: Ivana pondered.

Hr: Snježne pahulje počele su padati, stvarajući tihi ples oko njih.
En: Snowflakes began to fall, creating a silent dance around them.

Hr: "Znam, ali želim i dalje graditi ovdje. Imam mnogo planova. Ne želim se odreći svoje karijere."
En: "I know, but I still want to build here. I have many plans. I don't want to give up my career."

Hr: "Čuo sam te," odgovorio je Marin.
En: "I heard you," replied Marin.

Hr: "Ali moram znati, hoćeš li doći sa mnom? Želim imati obitelj s tobom, oboje možemo imati svoje snove."
En: "But I need to know, will you come with me? I want to have a family with you; we can both have our dreams."

Hr: Ivana ga je promovila. "Što ako ostanem? Što će biti s nama?"
En: Ivana asked him, "What if I stay? What will happen to us?"

Hr: Marinov izraz lica bio je tužan.
En: Marin's expression was sad.

Hr: "Otići ću za šest mjeseci. Ako ne dođeš, razumjet ću. Ali moram pokušati."
En: "I will leave in six months. If you don't come, I will understand. But I have to try."

Hr: Nastavili su hodati.
En: They continued walking.

Hr: Snijeg je šuštao pod njihovim koracima.
En: The snow crunched under their steps.

Hr: Ivana je osjetila teret odluke na svojim ramenima.
En: Ivana felt the weight of the decision on her shoulders.

Hr: "Ljubav je važna, ali i moji snovi. Moram ostati."
En: "Love is important, but so are my dreams. I have to stay."

Hr: Marin je zastao.
En: Marin paused.

Hr: Pogledao je u nju s nježnošću.
En: He looked at her tenderly.

Hr: Tada su nastavili hodati.
