That nagging tension in the lower back during a bridge or hip thrust might not be a mystery. It might be because the quadratus lumborum is doing all the work. Aly takes listeners inside one of the most misunderstood muscles in the body, the QL, tracing its anatomy, its habits, and the domino effect that happens when the surrounding system stops pulling its weight.
