My Weekly Treat

To make cheese straws, combine 2 cups of self-rising flour, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Mix in 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese and 1 cup of softened butter, then pipe or shape the dough into straws and bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned.
