Maura is a public affairs – communications and a wellness professional, integrating the two specialties to lead work focused on accessibility, social responsibility, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Her goals are twofold:

(1) To contribute to creating a world better than the one she was born into; and

(2) To share her voice to create inclusive opportunities for those who have been marginalized, especially people with disabilities.

Maura has led communications for nonprofit organizations; local, federal, and foreign governments; a Fortune 100 company; and public relations firms. She has a knack for bringing like-valued people and brands together to deliver impact, and her calm demeanor – much thanks to her yoga background – is an asset for working with executives and leading teams.

An athlete since birth – if running well before 1 year of age counts – Maura developed a holistic approach to fitness and wellness in 2008 when she discovered yoga. Although she was initially close-minded to the practice, yoga flourished into an integral part of her life. She started teaching in 2011 and holds her RYT-200. She has worked with many diverse populations creating specialty programs to meet people where they are. And Maura is committed to ensuring all individuals, no matter ability, mobility, geographic location, or economic situation, can access challenging, healing, invigorating yoga and fitness experiences.

Maura has bachelor's degrees in public relations and multimedia journalism and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration. She lives between the Greater New York City Area and the Washington, D.C., region.
