Connecting The Dots Of Your Life | Brionna Morse Ep. 107

Connecting The Dots Of Your Life | Brionna Morse Ep. 107

“LET YOURSELF BE DRAWN BY THE STRONGER PULL OF THAT WHICH YOU TRULY LOVE.” Rumi Have you ever felt like one of those clowns at the circus? You know, the ones juggling a bunch of bowling pins as the crowd eggs on the ringmaster to throw more and more pins at them. I can see it now. The clown is frantically trying to keep up with the pins being thrown at him while I sit there enjoying the entertainment, instigating the stressful situation further. As we do our best to juggle the challenges of everyday life, I think we all owe that clown an apology. If only we knew karma would be so cruel! Nowadays, we find it hard to truly excel in all aspects of our lives. One day we’re killing it at work but we come home to a disaster. Or perhaps we’re on top of the chores at home but work assignments are piling up and deadlines loom over our heads. No matter how you slice it, we always feel like we’re robbing Peter to pay Paul when it comes to balancing the overwhelming demands of life. My guest today, Brionna Morse, knows exactly how you feel. Being a self-mastery mind coach, Brionna helps us get out of our own way and start connecting the dots of our lives. This helps us better understand the picture we’re creating and puts the power in our hands! Being raised on a 75-acre farm in Idaho allowed Brionna to experience adventure and the great outdoors growing up. Always being active and connecting with others, she knew she wanted to do things a little differently when she completed her studies and obtained her Masters of Arts in Psychology at Phillips Graduate Institute. Her work has brought her to Greenville South Carolina where Brionna now works with high achievers, helping them ditch self-sabotage and create happiness and freedom in their lives. Join us today as we discuss overcoming the fear of success or failure, the difference between what we know and what we believe, and finally taking the time to slow down and listen to our hearts. This episode is sure to leave a positive impact. You Deserve To Find Your Purpose | Daphne DeLoren Ep. 106

You Deserve To Find Your Purpose | Daphne DeLoren Ep. 106

“TRUE HAPPINESS… IS NOT ATTAINED THROUGH SELF-GRATIFICATION, BUT THROUGH FIDELITY TO A WORTHY PURPOSE.” Helen Keller I had just finished up some new training on a program I never used before. The law firm was making some changes and as the new billing clerk, I had to learn how to input the attorneys billable hours. It was a long tedious and repetitive process that taught me how to type “preparation, dictation, review, and revision” with my eyes closed. The lady who was training me was a little bit older and making small talk I simply asked; “So have you always wanted to be a paralegal?” Her answer would end up being the motivating factor that pushed me to never be complacent with where I was. She simply said: “Oh no, I started working here after I graduated and after getting married and having kids, next thing I knew ten years went by” At that moment, I realized how quickly we can fall into a rhythm of comfort and never get to the things we truly want to do in life. As life goes on and responsibilities pile on, we forget to make our happiness a priority! Sometime’s we need to just slow down, let the noise settle, and listen to our heart for a change. My guest today, Daphne DeLoren, is a full-time mother, wife, meteorologist, speaker, podcaster, life coach, and believer. Daphne has a passion for people and a love for the Lord. You can say she’s come a long way from those lonely early mornings at 2 AM eating her pancake in the dark. Like many of us, Daphne knows what it’s like to overcome failure and achieve success only to realize the result may not have been what we expected. Falling on faith, love, and purpose, Daphne found a way to pour into others and spread positivity in a world full of negative noise. In a time where we are surrounded by the cloudiness of 2020, Daphne is the “Drop of Sunshine” we’ve all been asking for. Join us as we discuss the importance of learning through failure, paying attention to what we put our validation in, and having nothing to realize God was all you needed. You’re not going to want to miss this one! Becoming Your Best Self | Stephen Scrobe Ep. 105

Becoming Your Best Self | Stephen Scrobe Ep. 105

“LIVE AS IF YOU WERE TO DIE TOMORROW. LEARN AS IF YOU WERE TO LIVE FOREVER.” Mahatma Gandhi There’s something that happens to us after we accept our diploma, certificate of approval, or certification in a specific field. We all get just a little bit taller, that confidence gets a tiny bit bigger, and that ego gets stroked just enough to make us feel fulfilled. We’ve made it. We’ve completed your studies and are now ready to apply what we have learned. Unfortunately, what so few of us realize at that moment is that the lessons are just beginning. School might be out but class is in session. Life has a whole curriculum of lessons we’ve yet to see. This is true no matter what field of study or career you choose to be a part of. Even further, you can say these life-long lessons have a bit more weight to them when others have to deal with the consequences of your ignorance. That’s when it’s serious! If you think about it, our lives impact so many more people than we know. If we fail to take responsibility for our environment, learn everything we can, and show up to each situation as our best selves, we offer the possibility of someone around us feeling the weight of our decisions. As I type those words above, my mind thinks about my fiance, dog, future kids, my family, and close friends. The decisions I make on a daily basis will have either a negative or positive impact on their lives. FACT! With that being understood, so few of us choose to take that responsibility a step further. I’d imagine my guest today Stephen Scrobe has a similar list as mine. However, that list gets a little bit longer each morning before he goes into work. As a husband, father, and deputy for the Greenville County Sheriffs Office, it’s safe to say his broad shoulders carry a heavy load. What makes the load bearable is Stephens’s willingness and intent to show up each day as his best self. It means committing to a life of training, learning, and improvement. It’s about constantly keeping up with the world around us. If we don’t evolve and change, how can we take on life’s evolving lessons? Being a beacon of hope, Stephen dedicates himself to law enforcement and the continued growth and development of his fellow officers. Through Knight’s Armor, Stephen helps provide physical training, mental health services, tactical training, and more to officers and agencies across the country. It’s all about improving the person to better handle the demands of their surroundings. “KNIGHT’S ARMOR IS HERE TO GIVE OFFICERS THE CONFIDENCE TO BE BOTH THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD AND THE CALM IN THE STORM.” Jump into today’s episode while Stephen and I discuss the importance of getting mentors in life, following through, re-inventing ourselves, and being and example for others. Committed To The Craft | Vincent D’Amato Jr. Ep. 104

Committed To The Craft | Vincent D’Amato Jr. Ep. 104

“WITHOUT COMMITMENT YOU CANNOT HAVE DEPTH IN ANYTHING.” Neil Strauss Commitment is sometimes that missing link that could take us from competent to great. Think of that last thing you really committed yourself to. Commitment is a whole different animal. It’s a refusal to quit and a determination for a specific outcome. Chances are the last thing you did commit yourself to was a success or near success. Think of your spouse, job, kids. You’re committed to these things. Sure, you may not like your job, but you still go because you’re committed to the rewards that going to work provides. Let’s take things a step further now and aim that commitment to a career, goal, or preferred outcome. I’m talking about having a laser focus on a specific craft or practice. If you’re truly committed to it, you’re likely fully invested and surrounded by it. My guest today, Vincent D’Amato Jr. has been committed to his craft since the day I met him. Though both he and I no longer reside in New York, you can clearly see The City still flows within us. Recently setting up shop on the west coast in LA, Vincent and I have come a long way from late NYC nights and him tearing up the stage of Webster Hall, one of NYC’s well-known Nightclub and Concert Venues. In this episode, we dive into the hustle. We share thoughts, reflections, and insights on the journey. When you’re chasing something that goes deep, you will spend a lifetime unearthing its treasures. Jump into the journey with Vincent and me as we chat about taking the jump now, playing to our strengths, and celebrating the small wins along the way. Lead A Life Of Service | John Constantine Ep. 103

Lead A Life Of Service | John Constantine Ep. 103

THE BEST WAY TO FIND YOURSELF IS TO LOSE YOURSELF IN THE SERVICE OF OTHERS.” Mahatma Gandhi What is it you’re really chasing in life? I’ve pondered this question myself countless times both alone and with others. The theme always seems to be the same. We’re all looking to feel accepted and fulfilled in who we are and what we do. Unfortunately, while chasing acceptance and fulfillment, we often fall into what’s called “The Rat Race.” We look for that next big job, fight for those promotions, purchase the big house and upgrade our lives continuously, waiting for that desperate feeling of completion. We cry from our mountain top: “Do you love me now!?” Unfortunately, many of us rarely make it to our personal mountain top and for those that do, find the view to be a bit anticlimactic. Maybe that’s because we realize that it’s not the mountain top we wanted. It’s the feeling we thought it would give us that we long for. “MANY MEN GO FISHING ALL OF THEIR LIVES WITHOUT KNOWING THAT IT IS NOT FISH THEY ARE AFTER.” Henry David Thoreau What if there was a different way to discover your gifts and live a life of joy and fulfillment? Imagine for a second there was a way to feel loved and accepted right now regardless of your social or economic status. What if I told you it’s as easy as looking for someone to serve? My guest today, John Constantine, President & CEO of Arcpoint Labs has seen the mountain top both literally and figuratively. (This man is adventurous!) However, being the leader of a full-service national third-party provider/administrator of diagnostic testing is just the tip of Johns Iceberg. It doesn’t take long to feel the caring and giving spirit that fills John’s heart and pushes him to pour into everyone around him. John is the type of person who looks at someone in need and says: “LOOK AT WHAT WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO!” John Constantine For many of us, the concept of pouring into others to feel better about ourselves may seem counterintuitive. However, after listening to John for just a few moments, you’ll start to see the true meaning behind it all. Loving and serving others is the best way to love and serve ourselves. You see, it’s truly not about ourselves. It’s about leading a life of service for others and being to the world what Jesus was to them. As John sums it up… “BE ME TO THEM” Jesus You’re going to want to listen to today’s episode with a pen and paper nearby. John beautifully shares his adventure of dropping out of college, working different jobs, meeting his wife, saying no to a dream offer, and deciding to live a life of service above all else. I can honestly say, we need more people like John Constantine in this world. Be sure to connect and follow John’s ventures below! Defend Your Title, Earn Your Spot | Marcus Carson Ep. 102

Defend Your Title, Earn Your Spot | Marcus Carson Ep. 102

“BECOMING NUMBER ONE IS EASIER THAN REMAINING NUMBER ONE.” Bill Bradley As I sit down to type these words, Baseball fans across the country are counting down to Opening Day 2020 near the end of July! (July 23rd, 2020 to be exact) The sport that once drew tens of thousands of live spectators and millions more digitally will now be played in silence… What is it about sports that pull us in so much? Maybe it’s the excitement of big plays and huge hits. Some might say it’s the competition and the new slate each season. Few may say it’s the commercials and halftime performances. (Eye Roll, haha) I say it’s the Discipline. No matter the sport, profession, or industry sports is a celebration of greatness. There’s nothing like watching the actualization of someone’s blood, sweat, years, and tears coming together in a single moment. We’re drawn to sports because it’s transcending. My guest today has that vision of transcendence and a drive for greatness. Marcus “Goose” Carson is a Fitness Model, Entrepreneur, and a man on a mission. If you catch Marcus doing his thing, don’t get in his way! There’s power in awareness. Specifically the awareness that there’s always someone who wants your spot. Share Your Treasures With The World | Jas Rosales Ep. 101

Share Your Treasures With The World | Jas Rosales Ep. 101

“TO BE YOURSELF IN A WORLD THAT IS CONSTANTLY TRYING TO MAKE YOU SOMETHING ELSE IS THE GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT.” Ralph Waldo Emerson Sometimes, the hardest thing for us to be in life is ourselves. It’s crazy when you think about it. Kids do such a great job of living unapologetically, being themselves in public, and making an environment their own. Somewhere along the way, we lose that sense of self and start to pay attention to what other people think. The unique treasures within us that once made us shine and stand out are now buried under the dirt of self-doubt, other people’s opinions, and limiting beliefs. Luckily, those treasures aren’t completely lost. They’re still somewhere within us, encased in the shell of shame we’ve put it in. The hard part is many of us have buried it so deep that it will take some time for us to find that treasure again. Well, there’s no better time to start digging than now… Jas Rosales, Owner at Just Another Season Productions, LLC, is a diamond in the rough. She’d tell you to find your treasure by following the breadcrumbs and picking up the gems along the way. Moving from New York to South Carolina and transitioning from the world of Law to media production, Jas knows a lot about falling into a wide range of settings and adapting to the environment she finds herself in. The secret though is staying true to yourself and sharing who you are regardless of where you find yourself. That’s the best way to start and grow relationships which in turn grows business. Take a listen to today’s episode as Jas and I discuss the importance of finding your personal gem, letting your gifts show, and paying attention to your personal brand. “SUCCESS ISN’T ALWAYS ABOUT GREATNESS. IT’S ABOUT CONSISTENCY. CONSISTENT HARD WORK LEADS TO SUCCESS. GREATNESS WILL COME.” Dwayne Johnson When I made the decision to start a podcast, I didn’t have any equipment, mics, cameras, or any idea what I was doing. As fate would have it, once I jumped, the parachute appeared. Once I committed, my Executive Producer Andrej Suttles came into my life, my friend Matt Snipes let me use his amazing podcast set up, and we’ve been rolling all steam ahead ever since! If you would have told me what this podcast journey would look like when the first episode “No Rain… No Rainbows Podcast: Ep. 1 – Intro” dropped on August 1st, 2018, I wouldn’t have believed you. Over the course of two years, Andrej and I have met some of the most amazing people, heard some of the most amazing stories, and learned some valuable lessons. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. With the one-hundredth episode rapidly approaching, I wanted to see how far this podcast could go.
