Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta examines whether anyone in the Duggar family understands the damage being done. Kendra has her own charges — misdemeanor counts of child endangerment and false imprisonment in Arkansas — after investigators reportedly found exterior locks on the children's bedroom doors during a home inspection triggered by Joseph's arrest. She hired her own lawyer. The family spokesperson insists her charges are "totally unrelated" to Joseph's. Motta explains why that argument faces a serious credibility problem.

The lock pattern isn't new. The Duggar family reportedly used exterior bedroom door locks years ago as a response to Josh's abuse of his sisters. Now the same practice has produced criminal charges in the next generation.
