Permission to Let Go: Your Sunday Relaxation Reset

Permission to Let Go: Your Sunday Relaxation Reset

Hey there, it's Julia. I'm so glad you're here with me today. I know it's early Sunday morning, and you might be feeling that Sunday scoop of anxiety creeping in, that little voice asking what you haven't done yet this week. So let's just pause that for a bit. Today, we're going to practice real, genuine relaxation, the kind that doesn't require you to go anywhere or pretend you're on a beach somewhere. Sound good? Let's start by getting comfortable wherever you are right now. You can be sitting, lying down, standing in your kitchen with your coffee, I don't mind. Just find a position that feels like your body can actually release its grip a little bit. Go ahead and do that now. Now, I want you to notice your breath like you're noticing the breeze on a lazy afternoon. You're not trying to change it or fix it, you're just watching it come and go. Breathing in through your nose for a count of four, and out through your mouth for a count of six. That longer exhale is your nervous system's favorite song. It tells your body that you're safe. Let's do that a few times together. Here's the main thing I want you to experience today. We're going to practice what I call the body's permission slip. Your muscles are holding onto tension like they're protecting you from something, and they're actually waiting for permission to let go. So we're going to give them that permission, slowly. Start at the top of your head. Imagine a warm light, like honey, beginning to melt across your forehead. Feel it soften those little wrinkles you've been clenching. Now down to your jaw, which is probably working overtime. Let it hang a little loose. That's it. Down your shoulders now, that familiar weight you carry. Imagine that honey dripping down, warming and loosening everything it touches. Your chest, your belly, your hands. Notice how your fingers feel heavy now, resting wherever they are. All the way down to your feet, which have carried you through this whole week. They can rest now too. Here's what I want you to remember when you leave this practice. Relaxation isn't something you have to earn or schedule for a spa day. It's available to you right now, in this moment, and anytime you need it. Your body knows how to do this. You just have to give it permission. Thank you so much for spending this time with me on Relaxation. If this practice helped you, I'd really love for you to subscribe so you don't miss our next session. Take care of yourself out there. For great deals today, check out https://amzn.to/47ZqpWT
